Courtney Shearer is an Atlanta based Kitchen & Bath Designer with over a decade of industry experience. A graduate in Furnishings & Interiors from The University of Georgia, Courtney entered the Atlanta design scene in 2008. Creating and connecting with her clients has been her focus since the beginning and her skill for turning what some would consider a stressful undertaking into a fun process has always been her top priority. Respect for the smallest of details and integration of unexpected elements that feel like home has become Courtney’s signature in her design work. Courtney started The Cow Spot Blog back in 2011 and has enjoyed documenting DIY projects for her own homes, client projects and design trends over the years.
Courtney has been a recipient of numerous design distinctions and awards including, the Calla Award for Kitchen of The Year in 2011, and was selected by The National Kitchen & Bath Association as one of their Top 30 Under 30 in its inaugural year of 2013. She also served as the Kitchens Expert with About.com in 2015 through 2016 and was recently named a Top 50 Innovator through Kitchen & Bath Design News in 2018. Courtney’s work has been featured across Atlanta through numerous show houses and industry events including The Luxury Living Show at Phipps Plaza, Junior League Tour of Kitchens and The Serenbe & Holiday House Showhouses with Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Magazine.
Today, you may find Courtney living in her Buckhead bungalow with her husband and two sons. One of her most recent endeavors includes an attempt at urban farming with her 4 chickens in her backyard coop.
